I read this, and my reaction isn’t simple (this is usually true). I think yes, there have been times in my life where I felt that, and then times when I changed nothing and went tumbling into an abyss. Both have been so important. I think of the people whose lives are filled with so much trauma that meditation is impossible for them, and the people who seek for years and never feel a spark, although I think they eventually do if they continue, It makes me sad, that some find it easily and others have to struggle so much and for so long.

Nice post, made me think.

Thank you for sharing this depth, it's so real! I've been there too.

Life does require that "pre-work" before breakthroughs happen, or feel natural and fast. When we're caught in heavy momentum, meditating or trying to stay grounded feels impossible. We mostly flow with the momentum we've created, until we learn to manage it through our thoughts and feelings before it hijacks our direction. The keyword here being ‘before’.

That's the practice, really. Becoming aware of our thoughts and feelings before they build unstoppable momentum. Until then, experiences feel unpredictable. Once we get better at this, our experiences become more consistent while we ourselves become transformed.

Your reflection shows you're already doing this work!

What you named is so beautifully said.

There’s a moment when the inner noise quiets and coherence begins.

That shift from control to surrender can be subtle, or feel like the only choice left —and it’s often the one that opens the channels for possibility.

Beautifully expressed.

Thank you, your comment was beautifully timed! Just a moment ago, a friend and I were talking about surrender and the choice of free will…and how sometimes, surrender may feel like the only choice left.

Love it.

The moment you let go the need of control, you starts living and things start to fall in places.

Awe so beautiful I often spend time in Childs pose. Physical expression is powerful. I am curious what you would write about purpose, purpose is the key for me. I am trying to gather more insight on what peeps feel about purpose and how it weaves into the personal peace..

Oooooh! Purpose is a fascinating topic. Will certainly write about it in a future post. Hint: I see purpose and inner alignment as being intertwined.

That is it...the quiet surrender Im feeling...although it surfaces in defience to what i won't put up with anymore. I shall return to inner peace...the others will work it out. I feel where Im going. Thank you for the reminder....beautifully written.

I like to call that a "Bruce Leroy" moment from the movie "The Last Dragon,"when he had the glow. Thats the first image that came to my mind while reading your writings.

Love the analogy!! :)

Congratulations on your new endeavor! Meditation has always been a springboard toward those moments and steps that lead to what's next in your life and the path you need to take to get there. Your story resonates with me on so many levels and provides reassurance, helping me understand the importance of waiting for the timing of life's unfolding—because it is so worth the wait.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words! Grateful that my post could offer some reassurance as you also embrace your own path and its unfolding.

This really resonates with me. I’ve been learning to live more in tune with my inner self and to let go of the pressure of external metrics. Strangely, once I stopped chasing them, the external markers of ‘success’ began falling into place on their own. I’d love to hear more about how your own journey of self-discovery began and how it has evolved over time in your future post.
